The village of Maussane has good restaurants, pleasant cafes and pretty small shops. You are only a few minutes by car from all the amenities you will need during these relaxing Provencal holidays.
Barely further away, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is slightly larger than Maussane city with even more restaurants, shops etc but also superb cultural and historical places to visit during your stay. The Saint-Rémy-de-Provence market is also one not to be missed. Large and full of colours, it is an activity to be undertaken on Wednesday morning in the Alpilles.
The Alpilles is a protected national park which offers pictorial views, with its villages dotted through the hills, its fauna and flora so typically Provençal. You will have the joy of discovering sunflower fields on the road while heading to Arles for example, or even olive groves as far as the eye can see by leading to Baux-de-Provence. You will not be at the end of your surprises by visiting this region full of charm and warmth.
You will also be very close to larger cities, which are worth seeing such as Avignon, l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Nîmes, Uzès, Aix-en-Provence, Gordes, the Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, etc …
